SÓLLER VALL VERDA ORGANIZES A DEBATE ON THE PROBLEM OF WASTE
On Tuesday, March 26, the Plataforma Sóller Vall Verda is to host a round table debate to discuss the problem of waste in Sóller and how we might improve things. Sebastià Sansó, General Director of the Balearic Government in charge of waste, will explain the new Waste Law that has just been approved in the Balearic Islands – and how it will affect municipal policies. It’s worth mentioning that the new Balearic waste law is considered to be one of the most advanced in Europe. Representatives of Deixalles and Sóller Recicla will also attend, as well as a number of people from Sóller who have started up individual projects to tackle the problem of plastics that inevitably end up polluting the sea.
The event is at 6.30 pm in the Training Room at Deixalles Sóller, Calle del Desvío, 48 (the main road to the Port and is aimed at both the political parties of Sóller and the general public.
